About the Boutique
The Waxing Boutique offers face and body waxing for women and
men, eye lash and eye brow tinting, semi-permanent eye lash
extensions, and special occasion and bridal make-up. The
boutique also offers a rotating selection of retail products from
make-up to jewelry. Two waxing products are always available:
Follique, a solution for ingrown hairs, and Topicane, a numbing

About the Owner
The owner, Melissa Avila, has been a licensed esthetican since
1992. Before opening The Waxing Boutique, she was an employee
of the Gene Juarez Salons for 10 years. She also graduated in 2003
from the Blanche MacDonald School for Film and Television Make Up
in Vancouver, British Columbia.

New Aesthetician
The Waxing Boutique welcomes Kate, our new aesthetician. Born
and raised in Seattle, Kate graduated from the Euro Institute of Skin
Care in 2005. In addition to working as an esthetician, she is also a
professional glassblower and works at various studios in the city. In
her free time she enjoys yoga, cooking, and loves to spend time with
her family and chihuahua.
